Unusually, Père Lachaise was in the news several times this week: Oscar Wilde’s newly renovated gravestone (now with a fancy glass barrier unlike Jim’s ghastly metal one), more Hollywood stars visiting the cemetery and of course Jim’s birthday coming soon on December 8.
