Discovering Père-Lachaise Cemetery: Eternal Gardens

Arguably the best TV station in France (and probably beyond), Arte.tv is currently running a new documentary about Père Lachaise through December 31, 2018.

Summary

The Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris is famous as being the final resting place of great figures such as Oscar Wilde, Marcel Proust and Jim Morrison. But it is also a surprisingly diverse natural habitat, a hidden biosphere in the heart of Paris.

The green side of Père Lachaise

Of course there’s an app for that

If this documentary inspires you to explore the greener side of Père Lachaise, you might be interested in the app Balades Paris Durable. There are several green walks in Paris on the app, one of which is dedicated to Père Lachaise. You can also see the itinerary of the Père Lachaise walk on the Paris City website.

Let me know what you think!

Hi
The video will work in Los Angeles for some reason. It says “the video cannot be viewed from your current location.”
I wonder why?
Best,

Maybe because Arte is a European tv channel. Just like for us in Europe we can’t see US videos sometimes.
